Fractions Decimals and Percentages bingo game
How will this fractions, decimals, and percentages (FDP) activity help?
This is a low-prep game where students are asked to convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages, but in the format of a bingo game. Whilst your students have fun you are engaging them in a nice spiral review activity; students really get into the pace and competition of the game.
The FDP questions are displayed on your classroom board from the attached PowerPoint presentation. The order of the questions can be altered to suit the ability of your class by shuffling the slides in the powerpoint. This bingo game can be played by up to thirty-six students. There is also a no-print option if you do not wish to print out the cards. A better idea is to print and laminate the FDP bingo cards for repeated use.
AS students answer the fractions, decimals and percentages questions they cross off their answer on the card if they have it. The first student to complete their entire card and call out 'bingo!' is the winner. (For a speed version it can be played for the first to get a row or column or a combination of both). A small prize for the winner is motivational!
Using this FDP resource will help your students develop their understanding of converting between fractions, decimals, and percentages. This is a fun activity during initial FDP lessons or as a later review activity.
